Namaste everyone! I am Amrita Arjyal, and I am so happy to announce that the School Nepal website is now running. I would like to request you to send your opinions or suggestions about it.

Almost 50 children are now getting benefit from this organization. With the help of this website, I am sure more children will benefit in the future. Please tell your friends and family to visit the site and help this organization grow.

First, I would like to thank all of you who brought this organization into existence. Without your help it wouldn’t be running. So my big thanks go to all sponsors and donors.

I would also like to thank my good friends who encouraged me to make the website and then helped build it, especially Johanna, Rick, Sadhya, and Dylan from Baltimore in the USA. I am lucky to have such good friends in my life.

As many of you know, I give my full time to this organization; all my love and affection too. There is nothing more satisfying than helping poor children to have a childhood and get an education.

Maybe some of you have visited or lived in Nepal and have an idea about this country. But you can’t truly imagine the hard life, especially for poor people, without visiting this place. There are thousands and thousands children who don’t even have one meal a day. So, in that situation, how can they even think about going to school? Usually in this situation they are forced into child labor.

In Nepal the school year begins in April. Those children who got help from this organization last year are hoping to get the same help from their sponsors for the coming years and fulfill their dream of becoming an educated person. So let’s have a goal to increase the number of children for this next school year. So many other new children could benefit from it. It doesn’t cost a lot. Thirty five cents a day ($120 per year) will make a huge change in one child’s life. So start saving 35 cents for this cause! This will bring a big smile to your sponsored child as well as to you too. I am 100% sure that you will feel very proud of yourself by making a difference in one child’s life.

There are so many children in need of sponsorship. So I am going to use this blog to give updates about these children frequently. Please visit the blog from time to time and find out about new children, and urge your friends and family to visit it too. If these children don’t go to school, it is 100% sure they will end up doing child labor at someone’s house or in the street. So for this next school year April 2011 – March 2012, try to give a chance to more children to be in school.

This organization is funded by you who live outside of Nepal. But here inside the country people help by giving clothes, food, stationary and other household things. If you or someone you know is coming to Nepal, please send any used/new clothes, toys or anything else for these children.
